The Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and Wealth Management(PGD-FPWM) program of BIFM is designed in such a way that it ensures the development of entrepreneurial spirits in the students. The focus is more on real-life situations than mere pedantic teaching in the classroom. At BIFM, emphasis is laid on familiarizing the students with latest global trends in the field of Financial Planning and Wealth Management and also in developing communication and presentation skills aided by live case study and project based teaching methodology.
BIFM Placement Cell (BPC) facilitates the process of placement of students passing out from the Institute besides collaborating with leading organizations and institutes in setting up of internship and training program of students.
The BPC is the hub of activities which drive the institute to 3-I (Institute - Industry - Interface) initiative. It develops and maintains a close relationship with corporates through guest lectures, corporate get-togethers, industry visits and frequent interaction at both institute and student level.
The BPC arranges for the mandatory Summer Internship Programme in corporate houses for each student. The cell is also responsible for organizing final placement for the students - a continuous process that effectively starts the day a student joins the institute.
Students are closely involved in the activities of placement cell - which includes publication of placement brochures and other literature, interaction with recruiters, working out placement strategies & scheduling activities, maintaining resume banks, etc. The exposure to this complex process helps to develop their Participative Managerial Effectiveness.
The Placement Cell has a focused mandate to progressively enhance synergies between the institute & industry. To this end, it conducts regular sessions on career choices and helps students acquire superior interview skills. It is dedicated towards meeting a student’s long-term and short-term career needs in terms of final employment & internships.
