After this course, every student will be able to enter any radio management role, easily comprehending all the aspects that go into the running of a radio station. It will help each of them find a special area of interest, aptitude and talent. This also includes a three month industry internship in the field of one's choice.From Producer to Music Manager and Programming Head to Scheduler, Radio Jockey, Sales and Marketing head, and technical know-how of systems and processes, this course will be an insight into everything that makes a radio station work.Twelve modules are divided into three semesters and spread over a period of one year. Each semester will include four modules covered over a period of three months. The last three months focus on specialisation through industry internship in a chosen field.
The training courses are aimed at people wishing to work in the radio industry in a production capacity and at those wanting to further their careers in radio station management.Students will address a wide range of issues relating to radio station management through classes and the real experience of setting up a small radio station project. The course includes study of public service radio, commercial radio, community and access radio and the role of the independent producer. In addition students will be able to contextualise their work in production and management through study of radio history, technologies, radio audiences, radio texts and genres.
